The llama (Lama glama) is a domesticated South
American camelid, adapted to life in the Andes mountains. Llamas can trot more
than a quarter-mile carrying 30% of their body weight.
Because they are intelligent animals and easy to train, donkeys are useful
for carrying goods and transporting people, especially in
mountainous areas.
Is a llama suitable as
a pet?
